How to access the collections in this room
To consult the documents of any room, it is advisable to request in advance the documents that you would like to view.
The following types of documents cannot be requested in advance: drawings, engravings, photographs, ephemera, maps and plans. These items must be requested directly in the Room.
Exceptionally, justified requests made in advance for the original graphic and cartographic material (maps and plans, engravings, drawings, photographs and ephemera) may be considered. These requests should be sent to the Department of Fine Arts and Cartography at email@example.com.
Advance requests for posters kept at the Alcalá Headquarters (AHC/ and AHCC/ catalogue numbers) will be made from the Library’s own online catalogue.
All rooms have free-access collections, which may be taken directly from the shelves. In general, they are reference works. You may consult which documents are available in free-access using the following search tool.
Online advance request for resources is a convenient and quick procedure that allows users to reserve documents they need to consult via the internet, before coming to the Library.
