The BNE offers its entire automated catalogue in compressed files created from the various bibliographic formats and authority records.
Two .zip files are included for each of the bibliographic and authority formats, one containing all bibliographic or authority records as an .xml file, and the other, with the same content, as an .mrc file (ISO 2709: format for the exchange and integration of bibliographic information in automated environments).
The content of every file is updated at the beginning of the current month.
The Catalogue data fall under the CC0 licence, which is why they are free to use and this does not require prior authorisation. However, the BNE would appreciate a mention of the records' origin.
