French engraving

The National Library of Spain has a varied repertoire of recorded french belonging to the 17th and 18th centuries. Its origin is varied, as has been formed over the years through the funds of the Royal Library, important purchases such as the collection of Valentín Carderera in the nineteenth century, donations of funds of interest and exchanges with other institutions such as, for example, National engraving collection.

The collection brings together a selection of works by important engravers as Claude Pote, Jean-Baptiste Pierre Lebrun, Jacques Callot, Jacques Bellange, family Perelle and françois de Poilly, among others. There Is also an excellent technical representation which dominated with mastery as buril and etching, how to lápìz OR engraving points.
