Circus photography

As they deal with the photographic portraits, for the variety of photographic processes which includes and not to disperse thematic collections, the BNE has acquired two collections of circus artists and varieties: the gathered by Leonard Parish, owner of the circo Price and inherited to death by her friend, pseudonym of Vinfer cartelista and printer, César Fernández Ardavín which comprises around 8500 portraits, of which a couple of hundred is accessible in theHispanic Digital Library. And the collection of software, photographs and other graphic materials on the circus collected by the artist top Sabina Romero, this whole achieve and a half thousand of pieces. The sum of these two collections puts the BNE as an institution of reference for the study of graphic materials on the circus.
