1. Theatre of paper

A collection of scenarios, fabrics, curtains, characters, booklets of works and building instruction mode form a body of work acquired by the BNE in 2008 that came to complete a group of works of the same characteristics that had come to the BNE compliance with the act on Legal Deposit en1958. This is a great selection of theatres of paper produced by the most important spanish publishers specializing in its production during the last decades of the 19th century and the first half of the XX. 2 Tear-Off.

The collection of tear-off of the BNE, around 700 prints, comes from a work of purchases and donations that joined an initial set located in the former Section literature as well as copies located in the deposits of Alcalá de Henares.

3 Cards.

The BNE has a representation of decks of cards of the most important spanish manufacturers of cards from the 19th and 20th centuries as Fournier or Commas. Some of them act as advertising of consumer products mainly of chocolates but there are also playing cards instructive, barajas airport, taurinas or historical or those illustrated with images, athletes, etc.

A dozen collections belong to some of the best spanish manufacturers of cards from the 19th and 20th centuries: Sebastián Commas, son of Torras and Lleó Guarro Wenceslas Square, simeon Durá, Juan Roura, María González and Heraclio Fournier among others. There are more than twenty cards with collections of drawings by important spanish illustrators of this period: Apel · les Mestres, E. Pastor, C. Ruano Llopis, Martínez de León, Sainz de tejeda, Serny, Antonio Landlord, Perellón, etc.
