To consult the collections of the BNE that are not digitized and freely accessible in its Hispanic Digital Library and its Digital Newspaper Library, it is necessary to have a reader or researcher card.

Most of the documents are in the Library deposits and should be requested from the librarian of each room. To do this you must follow the following steps:

• Locate the publication in the Library catalogue.
• Note down the catalogue number.
• It is advisable to request assets in advance.

Note: If the document is in the Alcalá de Henares depositories, it will be delivered within 24  to 48 hours (it will be available for 15 calendar days).

All rooms have free-access holdings, which may be taken directly from the shelves.
